2018 BHF Annual Conference

As healthcare systems around the world move towards achieving Universal Healthcare, much research has been performed on what needs to be done relating to policy evidence; however, efforts to move beyond the technical policy evidence towards action plans seem an impossible reality for many. Befittingly, this year’s conference theme is ‘Putting the health citizen first’ as we seek deeper understanding of what the next steps are for the industry to find alignment, action, and participation in driving implementation of systems that are equitable, affordable, and accessible to all ‘health citizens’. Our reality is that we are all serving a greater purpose, bigger than all of us, and that pushing the boundaries of what seems impossible will enable us to achieve access to quality, equitable and affordable healthcare for Africa.
