Dr Ali Hamdulay is the CEO of Metropolitan Health, a subsidiary of Momentum Health, with over 20 years of experience in healthcare leadership. A qualified family physician and accomplished executive, he has trained at the University of Cape Town, Stellenbosch University, Harvard University and completed an Advanced Leadership Programme at IMD in Switzerland. 

He served as former Chairperson of the Board of Healthcare Funders and a trustee of the Groote Schuur Hospital board, reflecting his deep commitment to strengthening healthcare in South Africa. Known for his strategic insight and passion for purpose-driven leadership, he has built a reputation as a thought leader committed to health equity, partnerships and systems transformation. He has a strong track record in developing high-performing teams and driving innovation in both the private and public healthcare sectors. 

Under his leadership, Metropolitan Health has partnered with government, NGOs, and civil society to expand access to quality healthcare — driving a collaborative model of partnerships and public-private partnerships.
