Dr Jennifer Jackson

Dr Jennifer Jackson, MBChB, graduated from the University of Birmingham in the UK after achieving a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2014. She then proceeded to practice in the UK NHS across multiple specialties until moving into the pharmaceutical industry.  

She joined AstraZeneca in July 2021 as part of the Middle East and Africa  

Corporate Affairs team to manage government affairs during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022 she was appointed Director for Government Affairs and Policy for the Middle East and Africa area, leading on strategic programmes such as the Partnership for Health System Sustainability and Resilience, Cancer Care Africa and more recently engagements behind the WHA Resolution on Rare Diseases. She also works closely with cross-functional teams and external partners across the region to strengthen healthcare ecosystems across oncology, rare diseases, cardio-renal and respiratory diseases.
