HPCSA

The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPSCA), established by the Health Professions Act of 1974, governs professional activities within its scope, setting processes to protect the public and guide health professions. Along with its 12 Professional Boards, the HPCSA oversees education, training, registration, professional conduct, ethical behaviour, Continuing Professional Development, and compliance with healthcare standards. Registration under the Act is mandatory for practicing any health profession recognised by Council.
