Gugulethu Mfuphi

Gugulethu Mfuphi, financial journalist, is an award-winning broadcaster and a well-versed orator. Her skills, together with her sound grasp of financial markets, economic data, current affairs issues and the impact that these have on the business community, make her the perfect candidate to speak to industry analysts, political leaders and C-suite executives across the globe.  

Her experience forms the basis of her tasks and responsibilities as a presenter on Kaya FM’s prime time, award-winning business show, Kaya Bizz, and as a senior anchor on CNBC Africa. She serves as a conference chair, panel discussion moderator and programme director at various industry gatherings that impact the investment and business community.  

She has a wealth of experience in South Africa’s media industry. With experience in print, television, radio and online media, she has worked for various institutions including Talk Radio 702, SAfm, Lotus FM and the City Press Newspaper through their affiliation with Moneyweb.  

A well-travelled speaker, she has interviewed a myriad of leaders from across the globe, by attending and reporting from the World Bank and IMF Springs Meetings in Washington DC, the Annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland and the World Economic Forum in Africa. She has moderated conferences for the MasterCard Foundation in Ghana and has worked with leading financial services companies across Africa, including Standard Bank and Investec Limited.
