Taryn Young, Distinguished Professor at Stellenbosch University, has expertise in evidence–informed health care, specialism in public health, strong leadership and a driving passion to engage and enhance capacity to advance the conduct and use of regionally relevant research. She has experience in coordinating international and national collaborative projects that facilitate the use of best evidence in healthcare policy and practice. Her research spans the continuum of the evidence ecosystem, from evidence generation to evidence translation. She is a dynamic administrator, community builder, leader and manager, and she values excellence, integrity, mindfulness and equitable partnerships.
