2018 ANNUAL TITANIUM AWARDS CALL FOR ENTRIES

The 4th Annual Titanium Awards are aimed at recognising the contributions by healthcare professionals and organisations in creating affordable, accessible and sustainable healthcare throughout the Southern Africa region.

WHY WE HOST THE TITANIUM AWARDS

With increased access to healthcare and improved quality healthcare services a priority across the world, the 2018 edition of the Titanium Awards puts the spotlight on four key areas: ACCESS; QUALITY; LEADERSHIP; and THE HEALTH CITIZEN.  This year the awards seek to recognise and honour professionals and organisations driving change by creating affordable, accessible and sustainable healthcare throughout the Southern Africa region.

The Titanium Awards also seek to celebrate individuals and businesses that have delivered superior services to their members and clients in the public and private sectors; and facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice; promote partnerships between the public and private sectors; and provide a platform for collaboration across the region.

WHY YOU NEED TO ENTER THE 2018 AWARDS

With an overall of six categories, the awards have evolved since their inception in 2014. This year, the AWARDS will cast a spotlight upon organisations and individuals who are dedicated to providing programmes and initiatives that are creating access to healthcare services by introducing the Titanium Award for Excellence in creating Access to Healthcare. The award is open to all organisations and individuals in the healthcare sector, including CSI programmes, SMMEs, medical schemes, administrators, pharmaceutical professionals, managed care organisations, healthcare professional, and non-profit and government agencies dedicated to creating access to healthcare for communities.  The winning programme or initiative will receive R40 000  

2017 saw the introduction of the Health Journalist of the Year category to commend the works of journalists and reporters who enable access to information about the healthcare industry. This award has now been renamed the Titanium Award for BestHealthcareMediaContent and it honours the contributions made by health reporters and journalists towards raising awareness of healthcare issues across southern Africa. The winner in this category will receive R20 000 cash prize.

The Titanium Award for Young Achiever celebrates young professionals who have made a notable impact in the healthcare industry. The winner in this category will receive R40 000 cash prize. The Dr Humphrey Zokufa lifetime achiever will receive R40 000 towards a charity of their choice.
